ANTOINE RAOUX

Founding Partner

Antoine has completed over 25 private equity investments in the UK, France and Germany over the past 20 years. His transactional experience includes Buy & Builds, MBOs, MBIs, PTPs, Property-backed and turnarounds. He has a generalist experience with a focus on the healthcare and consumer-facing sectors.

Antoine has been involved in 11 multi-site buy & build investments and personally invested in a further 4. Within the healthcare and education sectors, Antoine is currently a Non-Executive Director of Thrive Therapeutic Software. He previously supported the Cambian roll-up and latterly chaired Horizon Care & Education until its successful exit in 2019. Prior to joining the private equity world, Antoine worked for 5 years in industry – first in production roles at Zodiac and post MBA in the sales and finance teams of Eli Lilly.

Antoine holds an MBA from London Business School and an MEng in Thermal Engineering from Centrale Marseille. He is currently a lecturer in Corporate Finance at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.

Pablo Villanueva

Partner

Pablo has 20 years of experience in finance with a particular focus on industrials and manufacturing. After operational roles in the automotive industry (Valeo) he moved to Investment Banking (HSBC) and Corporate Development (Zumtobel, Doosan). He also worked 5 years in a Low-Mid Market Private Equity fund together with Antoine Raoux.

He has spent the 7 years prior to Calanca, working directly in PE-owned portfolio companies to accelerate their transformation, serving as interim FD or Head of investments. He has deep experience tackling issues such as strategic planning, cash forecasting, cost reduction, financing, capital expenditure and M&A.

He has worked across Europe and is fluent in English, Spanish and French. He holds a Materials Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from London Business School and is a qualified accountant.

ROB harvey

Adviser

Rob has spent the last 16 years of his career working in senior executive finance roles within businesses at different stages of their investment cycles, ranging from plc divestments to private equity backed buy and builds with successful exit credentials. His sector and UK/international experience is varied including international B2B distribution/logistics, manufacturing, transport and in the last six years the UK domestic healthcare space.

He has also worked in a corporate finance and development advisory role and can combine experience of well executed SME acquisitions and integration to scaling and building a professional business from the view point of different stakeholders.

Rob has a passion for the healthcare, education and fitness well-being space and actively involved supporting entrepreneurial businesses support their growth ambitions.

Rob is a qualified Chartered Accountant and in his spare time coaches and supports competitive age group swimming and young triathletes.

Guillaume Perquier

Associate

Guillaume joined Calanca in 2020. Prior to joining the team, he worked as an investment banker within different structures enabling him to work on a wide range of companies sizes and industries. He first worked in a small cap M&A boutique in Paris with a specialisation in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors and then joined the M&A/ECM large cap execution team at Société Générale where he was involved in various deals notably in the TMT and energy sectors.

After his investment banking experience, Guillaume worked as a strategic consultant (CVA), within a firm focused on industrials & healthcare. He was notably involved in the 5-year digital strategic plan establishment for a mining company and in the building of a strategy to introduce a new drug in 13 countries.

Guillaume holds a master’s degree from the engineering schools Centrale Marseille and Centrale Paris with a specialisation in supply chain & operations management.
